Concept & Methodology

The epicentre of INNO-MOB focus is to develop inclusive networks and initiatives in the mobility sector. Technological advances and innovations will significantly affect many aspects of day-to-day activities including travelling, shopping, social aspects, health issues, connections among people, working time, entertainment, etc., and transform vehicles, infrastructure, logistics, and the delivery of transportation services. Various types of innovations and technological advancements could therefore be considered as solutions to challenges imposed by the prevailing global trends. “Digital revolution”, i.e. ICT development, radically changes established operating practices in society. Thus, the mobility innovation landscape includes actors from a range of various disciplines and sectors.

The high-growth disruptive technologies sectors where INNO-MOB will cover are (but not limited to):

  • Connected–automated vehicles (CAVs)
  • Battery and fuel-cell electric vehicles
  • Unmanned aerial systems (UASs)
  • IoT (Internet of things)
  • Big data
  • Smart cities solutions
  • Next-generation connectivity ( eg 5G, Li-Fi)
  • Cybersecurity
  • Advanced manufacturing
  • 3-D printing Novel materials and embedded sensors in infrastructure
  • Lightweight materials – Stronger and lighter

The methodology will be based on four stage approach:
